All the Simply Amazing by Andrea candles are clean burning. What does that mean? zero toxins, no carcinogens, no pollutants. Soy wax is less likely to trigger allergens and -speaking from experience- soy is less likely to trigger a migraine or headache, even for those that are chronic suffers. What else will you notice about 100% soy wax? No soot or heavy smoking, which can cause or trigger respiratory problems and damage your home.
It does cost more to create a 100% soy only wax candle and use fragrances that are carcinogen-free, mutagen-free, phthalate-free, paraben-free, and cruelty-free but the benefits far exceed the price difference. I have received numerous comments from my customers about a noticeable difference in the quality of smell, burn, and no health triggers with Simply Amazing by Andrea candles.
Many commercial manufacturers (that I used for years unknowingly) use paraffin wax, you might see vegetable wax used also, which is potentially toxic as well as contains phthalates in the fragrances. It allows for a large profit margin and fabulous sale prices but this makes them toxic and unsafe for you, your family, and your pets. Many also add coloring to the candles which might add another layer of toxins depending upon the agent that is used to color. Now that I know I made the switch and have not had ANY headaches or migraines from burning candles, whether that was for an hour or all day. Complete game changer for me!
Use: trim wick before every use to 1/4", do not leave unattended or near children/pets. Discharge jar when candle wax is 1/4" remaining. Do not burn candle when sleeping or out of visual sight. Allow contents to cool and solidify before placing the lid on the jar. Caution: jar could break if directions are not followed. Ideal use is with a candle warmer.
